Intro:

The Aldridge Creek and Tennessee River Greenways are paved paths that will take you on a scenic walk along side Aldridge Creek and the Tennessee River. The Aldridge Creek Greenway will take you through the beautiful Jones Valley in south Huntsville while the Tennessee River walkway takes you along the northern shore of the beautiful Tennessee River.

Trail Head:

The trail heads for each trail are located at Ditto Landing on Highway 231 at the Tennessee River.

To access the trail head: Turn onto Ditto Landing road and drive to the marina. On the eastern side of the marina you will see the trail head for the Tennessee River Greenway. The trail head for the Aldridge Creek Greenway is near the Ditto Landing entrance.

Difficulty:

They are both easy walks since they are on flat paved walkways.

Hiking the Trail:

These are both easy trails to follow. Just start at the trail heads and walk to the end. Enjoy the views along the way.

Scenery:

The Aldridge Creek Greenway takes you along side Aldridge Creek. You will get great views of the creek along with great views of the mountains in Jones Valley. The Tennessee River Greenway takes you along the northern banks of the Tennessee River and gives you an excellent view of the river and also of the mountains on each side.

At the trail head are restrooms, a place for RV camping, a playground, and marina.
